this should be a serious red flag for you. You work hard M-F, 8 hours a day or MORE in a filthy, rat-infested, non-ventilated room with dirt cheap computer equipment using inappropriate textbooks and articles that appear to have been written by an 8 year old, drink 5p rat poop coffee that sometimes also cheats you out of 5p, doing extra work for free handed out by Sonny and Toddler that is unpaid like proofreading university essays and stupid Kid/Teen Times which is commonly done in Manila for 200p per essay, getting illegally deducted for hundreds of pesos for being 1 min late, standing in a line after your shift like a factory worker, while accepting rude comments and attitudes from bowlegged poorly-dressed Korean admin and other Filipino admin who are only concerned about their personal job security and do absolutely anything the Korean management tells them to do no matter how humiliating it is. GLs follow in this pattern by employee verbal abuse and treating people like they are ignorant children and actually take pride in handing out an IR to you as if there is some kind of reward for them when you are guilty of something. While at the same time, you are constantly worrying when the company is going to give you ANOTHER absurd ridiculous IR to take YOUR MONEY out of your pockets so you actually never know what you will receive on payday IF you do get paid. When you do receive your pay there is always a fluctuation in the tax amount which is usually increased while receiving a pay slip with WHITEOUT on it?? Who does that? Then you have to provide them with receipts when you go shopping....huh? Receive random visits from the company president who looks like an asian grinch who stole xmas who never has anything good to say and walks the blue and pink room staring at which chick he wants to invite out with him although he is a married man. Hire, fire, and force out really great people while manipulating contracts and paying higher salaries to new employees while having ZERO regard for people's family, benefits, and welfare. Total disregard for Philippine law, company handbook, and just common human decency. When you need help from the admin, you have to observe everyone eating merienda and clicking on FB while you are working your butt off. You go there and ask for assistance and it's like talking to a brick wall or in the case when speaking to some Korean . Favorite admin phrase - "I'll get back to you" which actually translates into "Can't you see I'm eating merienda and checking my FB account? Leave me alone!" IT guy is totally worthless and spends more time on FB and spying on teacher activity (paid snitch) instead of doing any actual work. When you do need assistance from IT, they make you feel like they are doing you a favor instead of actually doing their job repairing that cheap computer crap. Your reward once a month for all your hard work is a couple of platters of cheap dark meat chicken, pancit canton, and rice with soda that you cant even eat or drink bc 1st shift has already devoured most of it by the time you get to work and the food is actually very disgusting. Some people commute for hours just to put up with all this nonsense and it is ridiculous that so many people accept this simply bc they need a job. When the frustration or just simple common sense kicks in to quit, get fired, whatever, you come to find out that you will receive ZERO SALARY for last pay. WOW!
